Some poet would define a great Viognier “of elementary fatality, but with an innate ability to seduce…” It can unleash all its great aromatic splendor only if carried to perfect ripeness, therefore yet another audacious challenge for Federico , in which he has obtained excellent results in the hot Maremma summers.

Altitude: 150 - 180 meters above sea level.

Vineyard exposure: Mainly south-east.

Type of soil: Sandy with sandstone skeleton, the soil is rather homogeneous.

Yield per hectare: 100 quintals

Harvest: On ripening the grapes are harvested, depending on the weather conditions, between late August and mid-September.

Vinification:destemming of the grapes with subsequent maceration in stainless steel tanks for 12 hours in contact with the skins. Subsequently a soft pressing is carried out, followed by fermentation in tanks at a controlled temperature and half way through fermentation, it is transferred into 5 hl barrels. Where it will remain for a month with daily batonnage.

Ageing : refinement is for about 8 -12 months in the same barrels.

Tasting notes
The wine has a straw-white colour, an intense and elegant aroma with hints of flowers and fruit with white flesh and an intense, full and round taste.
